Takizawa Hideaki Sponsors Johnny Kitagawa’s Birthday Party

Takki making his moves to be the next JE president, gathering allies, and Tsubasa is not invited. Oh well, everything is a rumor unless proven.

As reported,

[partial translation]

A general karaoke bar in Shibuya, Tokyo was reserved on Oct 23rd at 5 pm to celebrate the 83rd birthday of Johnny’s Entertainment President, Johnny Kitagawa.

The said “top-secret” evening was attended by 50 guests, all dressed in suits, and led by Takizawa Hideaki. The exclusive guest list also includes: V6’s Inohara YoshihikoIkuta Toma, Kanjani8’s Yokoyama Yu, Kis- My-Ft2’s Kitayama Hiromitsu, Nakayama Yuma, ABC-Z’s Goseki Koichi, Kawai Fumito, Hashimoto Ryosuke, Sexy Zone’s Nakajima Kento, and members of Johnny’s Jr. including Snow Man

Takki is the party’s organizer and since the 83-year-old president is known for being in the sidelines, he got cold-feet when he learned about the party (according to a TV station official). Song requests flowed during the karaoke party as well as soft drinks, beer, and wine were emptied one after the other.

At 10 PM, the party ended and the guests went out of the bar to see Johnny off to his limousine.

Rants & Raves : Shut Down

$

0

This week has been so busy, my GnS recap has been in my draft box since the 16th and it’s far from over. Anyway, I mainly did this Rant and Raves just for the first item because I’m really affected and saddened by the news.

Here is my occasional Rants and Raves…

  • Torrents section in D-Addicts will be closed.

So, my first reaction was a multitude of F-word. I’m not being demanding but a bit of explanation would be much appreciated instead of simply saying it’ll be close. It’s so frustrating not to know the reason just when I started enjoying downloading torrents, which is primarily because my wifi server got upgraded. Oh well, I’m scared that with the closing of torrents section, the site itself will eventually shut down and that’ll be a huge bummer!

  • Takki will take-over Tsubasa‘s radio show while he is undergoing treatment for his Meniere’s disease.

Glad to know that the radio show won’t be change just because Tsubasa is unwell to do it.

  • Little Tokyo Live” is a mess when it comes to ratings

Despite my excitement when this was announced, this type of show is better if it has been a radio show than on live TV. Other than that, where are HSJ and Johnny’s-WEST fans? Are you all asleep by that time?

(c)伽羅 ‏@HELLSING_DAWN

  • “Kabedon” is a rage everywhere because even Junno‘s character in “Kyou wa Kaisha Yasumimasu” got kadebon-ed by the Chiba Yudai, the guy he wants to have as a little brother.

This is just cute. I mean, both of them are cute. As for kabedon, I’m not so sure, I think I’ll be scared if I get cornered like that.

  •  Kis-My-Ft2 did a semi-nude for an an. [Scans here]

Taipi must have enjoyed his full nude last year so he did a semi-nude this time together with his group mates. The photos were taken in a pretty artsy way but their bodies are so-so. Aside from that, we have seen lot of Johnny’s going topless so I don’t know what’s the big deal with this issue, maybe because it’s a shoot for “an an”.

BeFunky_68.jpg

  • Speaking of Kisumai, Kitayama Hiromitsu got mistaken for NEWSTegoshi Yuya during a pre-recorded show where he was referred as “Kisumai’s Tegoshi-kun“.

Note to Kitayama: Never dye your hair blond or it’ll be harder to set you two apart. hahahahaha.

That’s all for now. Have a nice weekend.

Here is the top 10 “Most Handsome in Johnny’s

1) Okada Junichi (V6)

2) Nagase Tomoya (TOKIO)

3) Hideaki Takizawa (Tackey & Tsubasa)

4) Ikuta Toma

5) Kimura Takuya (SMAP)

6) Higashiyama Noriyuki (Shonentai)

8) Yamashita Tomohisa

9) Matsuoka Masahiro (TOKIO)

10) Okura Tadayoshi (Kanjani8)

Check-out  Goo for the rest of ranking

Whoever these women are, they’ve got taste and maturity. haha. I agree with this ranking though I’ll probably change the numbers. The men in this Top 10 are classic and sometimes, rugged handsome. They are not typical bishounen and ikemen but faces that get better with age. Other than that, let’s all pretend that MatsuJun’s face is really as smooth in the pictures.

Takizawa Kabuki Celebrates 10th Year Anniversary and Goes to Singapore

Big news to those craving for a JE butai overseas, this is OUR chance!

A production announcement was held at Tokyo for Tackey&Tsubasa‘s Takizawa Hideaki starrer, “Takizawa Kabuki 10th Anniversary“. It was also announced that the said play will have it’s first overseas show in Singapore. The show will happen for 6 days from Aug 18th to 23rd at The Grand Theater of the luxury hotel, Marina Bay Sands. Since this will be the first time that Johnny Kitagawa will bring this play overseas, expect comprehensive planning, configuration, and production.

“Takizawa Kabuki” premiered in 2006 and for the 10th anniversary, Takizawa desired to do it overseas. As the director in charge, Takizawa have done preliminary inspection of the venue where he wanted to do a “Japanese four seasons” theme that will include use of artificial snow where a snow machine will be transported by a ship. Aside from that, Johnny’s specialty, flying and costumes, will also be included. As for Takizawa’s co-stars for the Singapore show, it’s yet to be announced.

There is also a plan to produce a new song, which will be entirely in English. Tackey bitterly admits that he’s not good with studying [English] but with Tokyo 2020 Olympics in vision, he wants to start with this stage to appeal the Japanese tradition of Johnny’s Entertainment.

Ahead of “Takizawa Kabuki’s” Singapore show, they will be having a performance in Shinbashi Theater in Tokyo from April 8th to May 17th in celebration of Shochiku’s 120th anniversary. Tackey will be joined by Hey!Say!JUMP‘s Yabu Kota and Kis-My-Ft2‘s Kitayama Hiromitsu.

“Takizawa Kabuki” First Day Performance for 10th Anniversary

Omedatou! I can’t wait for the Singapore performance!

Last Apr 8th, Tackey&Tsubasa‘s Takizawa Hideaki celebrated the first day run of “Takizawa Kabuki 10th Anniversary” at Shinbashi Enbujo, Tokyo. A press conference was made before the curtain call where Takki commented that the show is packed with all the things that they (audience) want and they will do it with the best of their ability to show gratitude. Takki remains confident with the show’s repertoire, which are singing and dancing.

Celebrating its 10th year, Takizawa have chaired the said play since 2006 and for the 10th year, he is joined by Hey!Say!JUMP‘s Kota Yabu and Kis-My-Ft2‘s Kitayama Hiromitsu. The two have previously starred Takizawa Kabuki and they said that they huge respect for Takizawa. Also, Takizawa showed-off his roller-skating skills, which is Kis-My-Ft2’s specialty, and says that he knows to skate since 1st grade then added that slipping (falling) is his best.

In addition, it was reported earlier that Takizawa Kabuki will be heading to Singapore this August and it has been announced that instead of Kota Yabu, A.B.C.-Z‘s Fumito Kawai will be joining the cast.

“Takizawa Kabuki 10th Anniversary” will run until May 17th at Shochiku and the Singapore show will run from Aug 18th to 23rd.

Rants & Raves : Renewed

$

It’s July, half a year has passed-by and jnewseng.com is two years old! I was having doubts whether I should renew the jnewseng.com or just stick with jnewseng.wordpress.com. After all, the latter is free. However, I got scared that all my posts under .com will be for nothing if I revert back to .wordpress.com since it’s highly likely that they will not redirected, so, okay, another $18.00 charged to my credit card.

Anyway, in lieu with my 2nd anniversary, here are some things that are worth raving or ranting.

  • Kimura Takuya to Appear in “BUSAIKU?!”

For sure, Kimura will not be voted last. In fact, he doesn’t have to say anything or be and act COOL for that matter since women will automatically cling to him. Kisumai should take notes and learn a thing or two from him.

(c)kiyosumisengoku

100 stores with Arashians flocking the venue will surely give the prefecture enough money for their residents to go by. This is a really nice gesture from Arashi and I hope that those who will open stores won’t be ask for rental fees so they can take home all the goodies. 9.3 billion Yen is the estimated revenue that the prefecture can get in these four days affair. Who knows, you might see Sho or Matsujun buying some of the goods, in disguise of course.

(c)umast0113 The photo used here is for his “Dorian Gray” stage play

  • Nakayama Yuma reveals PV for his single, “Tokoton Got it!”

What is with Yuma and those random English words in his song? Is this part of his English lessons? Anyway, Yuma shared that one scene he enjoyed while shooting the PV is playing football with a local football club. Oh and about the photo above, unfortunately, the six-pack is just airbrushed since I’ve seen the “before” photos.

  • Mr. King VS. Mr. Prince aka Kinpuri debuted a song, “Summer Station”, during Mazda All-Star Game 2015 at Tokyo Dome

Congrats to them that they get to performed at Tokyo Dome as a new group. Will an official debut automatically follow? Hmmm….I think that JE is just testing waters, see who will be more profitable for the company, whether it’s Kinpuri or SixTONES. Name-wise, I prefer the latter.

  • One of the most talented actors, Yamamoto Yusuke, revealed that he wanted to enter Johnny’s during his elementary days. The reason? It’s the Takizawa Hideaki effect.

I once read Kanjani8’s Shibutani Subaru’s 10,000 words interview from MYOJO where he revealed that his mom sort-of pushed him to apply to Johnny’s because his mom likes Takki. Takki is surely popular during his junior days that even Yamamoto Yusuke is longing to be in JE just by seeing Takki. Anyway, Yusuke’s talents might be eclipsed by other Johnny’s favorites so it’s a good riddance that he never entered or tried to enter the agency.

That’s all for now, thank you for all the support and hopefully, I’m still blogging two years later.

Bits & Pieces 022

What’s been happening in Johnny’s land lately? Here are some of the news and not-so-news that I was too lazy to translate. Collated from Aug 11th-16th and involved parties, are: Yamada Ryosuke, Masuda Takahisa, Takizawa Hideaki, Kimura Takuya, and Tamamori Yuta, Here is Bits & Pieces 022

  • The synopsis for Hey!Say!JUMP‘s Yamada Ryosuke‘s 24 Hr TV drama special, “Okasan, Ore wa daijoubu“, is already up on the drama’s website. I’m sure that most of you are already familiar with the generic theme of 24 Hr TV drama but this is how it goes: Sasaki Ryohei is a high school student living in Shimane. He grew up without his mother since his mother devoted herself to take care of another brother who has been living in the hospital due to an incurable disease . He was just appointed as the vice captain of a small and weak soccer team where his colleagues strives each day to qualify for the prefectural tournament. One day, Ryohei is rushed to the hospital because of severe headache, his older brother Teppei (Masuda Takahisa), was also called to home from Kyoto. At the hospital, it was found that Ryohei is suffering from acute brain tumor, a surgery was performed; however, the surgery has to be stopped since the tumor is on the crucial part of the brain. The family was told that Ryohei won’t be living for long but a miracle happened and he woke-up from unconsciousness…

  • Takizawa Hideaki was featured in FRaU magazine about his Hongkong trip. The 1/2 of Tackey&Tsubasa went to Hongkong, 10 years after his first visit, to sample some of their new and traditional offerings.
  • Speaking of Takki doing visits, the cast of “Takizawa Kabuki” will be in Singapore this August as part of “Takizawa Kabuki’s 10th anniversary” and the goods have already arrived. Fans who will be attending the play can now buy the goods at Johnny’s net. I’m not so sure if the goods will also be available at the venue but the price are pretty expensive. SGD 28.00 for a brochure when I can already use that to enter Gardens by the Bay. Geez, Johnny.

(c)credits on pic

  • SMAP‘s Kimura Takuya made a surprise appearance at Ameba FRESH studio at Harajuku in Tokyo. The cast of HERO movie are set to appear in the studio for TOKYO FM but Kimura’s appearance wasn’t announced so fans and passers-by, particularly the women, were in awe when Kimura arrived.

  • Kis-My-Ft2 will be having two singles for Tamamori Yuta‘s two upcoming projects. Fresh from his “an an” sex issue, Tamamori will be appearing in autumn/fall drama, “Seishun Tantei Haruya, and another movie project with the gorgeous Nishiuchi Mariya in “Raintree no Kuni“. Because of Tamamori’s two projects, Kisumai will be doing songs for their fellow member and I’m sure that their fans is rejoicing.

That’s all for now, here is a hilarious gif of Okura being hilarious. haha.

Takizawa Kabuki Kicks-off in Singapore

It’s snowing in Singapore courtesy of Takizawa Hideaki.

Last Aug 18th, one of Johnny’s Entertainment longest-running play, “Takizawa Kabuki“, opened at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore. It was the first overseas performance for the cast headlined by Tackey & Tsubasa‘s Takizawa Hideaki, Kis-My-Ft2‘s Kitayama Hiromitsu, and A.B.C.-Z‘s Kawai Fumito.

“Takizawa Kabuki” is celebrating their 10th year anniversary and Takizawa didn’t disappoint the fans when he said that he would bring the four seasons of Japan. One of which is showering the audience with snow where the production shipped 12 units of artificial snow machine from Japan.  The cast arrived last Aug 15th and they had 2 days of intensive practice before the actual performance. Language barrier was also a challenged since half of the staff are Singaporeans so some of the things took longer than before. Nevertheless, meeting deadlines is a must in Johnny’s.

2,200 fans flocked Marina Bay’s Grand Theater as Takizawa and co. showed off a string of dynamic production, including Johnny’s infamous flying stunts, without the use of speech. In order for the Singaporean audience to understand the play, narration and lyrics were displayed in English. Towards the end of the kabuki, Takizawa appeared with 12 children (local) and danced “Rasa Sayang” with them. Rasa Sayang is a popular folk song.

Takizawa Kabuki” will run until Aug 23rd, 7600 tickets were sold out but you can check here if there are still available (online) tickets.

Rants & Raves : The Case of Missing Johnny’s

$

November is here! It’s my birth month and while I’m gonna get older, I’m just thankful to be alive. As the old saying goes, “never regret getting old, it’s a privilege denied to many”. Anyway, my fellow birth month from Koki, Ryo, Tomoya, Chinen, and KimuTaku…happy birthday to us!

Here is my occasional Rants & Raves : The Case of Missing Johnny’s

  • “Terra Formars” have published their first trailer that features the characters. The movie also stars Yamapi as Muto Jin and this is Yamapi…

yamapi

Rants : After looking closely, does he play an invisible man? Perhaps a hologram? I thought that was supposed to be Oguri Shun.

Raves : I was sure he played a human who can turn to a desert locust…

Rants : Then he must have transformed to that insect so he’s somewhere there,on top of those metals or whatever! Seriously JE, excluding him from the trailer is ridiculous.

Raves : Not the first time…how much would it cost Warner Brothers to pay JE so Yamapi can be seen in all their print ads? This is disservice.

Rants : As you’ve said, it’s not the first time…Hey!Say!JUMP’s Chinen Yuri was also missing in his first movie, Cho-sankin.

cs
WITHOUT Chinen

CHO_KOSOKU_SANKINKOUTAI_001

with Chinen

Raves : Perhaps favoritism or a matter of whether the Johnny’s talent is the lead or not. In Shingo’s latest movie, he is in the trailer and poster.

gt

Rants : It’s not like Yamapi is playing small role. Oh well, I’m actually defending Yamapi. haha. Next topic!

  • Who were present and who were missing in Johnny Kitagawa’s birthday bash? Well, J&A’s President celebrated his 84th birthday last Oct 23rd and just like last year, Hideaki Takizawa took charge of this year’s party. However, compared to the small party last year where around 50 Johnny’s attended, it’s bigger this year. After “Johnny’s World” rehearsal, Kitagawa was brought to the venue where Masahiko Kondo, Higashiyama Noriyuki, Okamoto Kenichi, SMAP’s Nakai Masahiro, TOKIO’s Kokubun Taichi, Ikuta Toma, V6, Kis-My-Ft2, and Sexy Zone were already present. Family members of talents were also present. Rushing to the scene after Music Station were Arashi and Hey!Say!JUMP. SMAP’s Kimura Takuya wasn’t able to attend but he gave a call to Kitagawa during the party. All in all, about 100 talents attended the party in this Tackey hosted party.

Rants : Happy Birthday to the BOSS! Takki is really in the running, huh?

Raves : Let’s all forget politics for now, I’m happy to see that Iijima talents are here. Happy to see that Arashi attended too!

Rants : I wonder how do they actually party, like, do they smoke cigars and get drunk?

Raves : Maybe, or they must have rented a karaoke or something. Who knows? Maybe they also play parlor games.

Rants :Parlor games? Haha. The winner gets an album.

  • Only★Star magazine made a ranking on “who you want to play games with?” and claiming the top spot is the legendary gamer, Arashi’s Ninomiya Kazunari!

Rants : Does Nino play COC? I’ll invite him in my clan!

Raves : Ultimate game boy, he should play with Domoto Koichi!

That’s all for now, since I’m watching Aragaki Yui’s “Okitegami…”, here’s a gif from that hilarious drama with Kyoko being the bane in Yakusuke’s life.

Rants & Raves : Come and Go

$

It’s my first Rants & Raves for this year so I’m pretty excited to write this. I know that the news from Johnny’s world has been pretty stressful as of late so I’ll try to make this post a bit cheery if my ranting self can help it.

Here is Rants & Raves : Come and Go

  • Kanjani8’s Okura Tadayoshi is back to work after missing the finale of his group’s live tour due to intestinal obstruction. Okura underwent a surgery and he wrote a message to everyone to inform that his appetite is returning little by little.

Rants : The glutton is back! He should be on NPO for like days.

Raves : Glad that Okura is back, his recovery powers is fast.

l_kf_smap_01

  • If there are online petitions for SMAP to stay via change.org, there’s also an online petition to oust Mary Kitagawa from Johnny’s. The votes are overwhelming and fans are hopeful that it will pressure Johnny Kitagawa.

Rants : I’m pretty sure that Johnny and Mary don’t give a shit about online petition. They never cared about SNS and kept the Johnny’s website to minimum so why would they give a damn on online voting?

Raves : I salute whoever did this petition, that’s pretty courageous. However, despite everything else, Mary is a family and that’s one thing that people can’t change. Whether we accept it or not, she’s part of the Johnny’s brand as it’s the family business.

Rants : On the lighter note, Mary looks like Johnny. They can switch wigs and nobody will be able to tell. haha

tytd

  • Nagase Tomoya’s “TOO YOUNG TO DIE!” movie gets postponed. The movie will hit the theaters on Feb 6th in light of the ski bus accident in Japan, which will be quite similar to a certain scene from the movie. Watch the trailer and you’ll see.

Rants : My condolonces and it’s good that the producers are sensitive enough to hold the movie.

Raves : Condolence too.

  • SMAP won’t be penalized for wanting to leave Johnny’s, the sincere apology is enough.

Rants : Of course it should be enough, it was a very humiliating apology. If I were in their position, I want to become a bear and go into hibernation.

Raves : I would rather go into hibernation than make a public apology as if I’m still in 6th grade and was caught cheating.

Rants : Thinking about that apology scene, they all look pretty downcast except for Kimura. They all look beaten.

Raves : It was a very awkward moment and I don’t want to recall it so let’s move on.

  • I can’t move on yet, SMAP is said to do a “National Apology Tour” in spring.

Rants : So are they gonna do an apology again?

Raves : They should do it like Justin Bieber and write a song about it.

Rants : Now that you mention it, a song on apologies might be a good thing to do. Probably, they can ask Becky to join them in a PV.

Raves : ahahaha

  • NEWS’s Shigeki Kato shared in “K-chan News” that he watch “JOKER GAME” incognito. Its like a real-life spy game.

Rants :  I wonder if he also watched “Pink to Gray”.

CXTwxcLUkAMnFsz

  • Kamenashi Kazuya’s “Kaito Yamaneko” earns 14% in ratings for its pilot episode

Rants : That’s pretty high for Kame’s drama.

Raves : Except for Tsuyoshi’s “The Specialist” that has 17% for its pilot, Kame’s drama is pretty high. I can’t wait to see this one.

kazoku_katachi_zpsffwjzqcm

  • Speaking of drama ratings, one columnist wrote that because of the SMAP saga, Tsuyoshi and Shingo’s drama are doing pretty well in the ratings game.

Rants : Because some people are probably assuming that it might be the last drama for the two.

Raves : Both dramas have good plot. The Specialist is already in its 3rd season while Shingo’s drama has a stellar cast. I’m sure that the SMAP drama added to people’s curiosity to watch the drama but making them watch again is a different matter.

  • V6’s Miyake Ken joins Hideaki Takizawa in “Takizawa Kabuki 2016”

Rants : No overseas performance this time Tackey?

Raves : Love this!

That’s all for now, I’m leaving you with a gif from Kame’s drama with him being adorable.
